# Product Guide

> What ARX does, the order to set it up in the first time, and which page to read next

## ARX in 30 seconds

ARX is a platform for deploying, managing and using AI on hardware you own.

You don't need to understand GPUs, containers or AI architecture to start. Think of ARX as a server that runs AI inside your own company:

**Set up ARX → install an AI model → install an app → connect your data → start using AI**

If you just want to get going, [Initialization](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/start-here/init), [AI Model Center](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/use-ai/ai-model-center) and [App Market](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/use-ai/app-market) are enough.

## What can ARX do for you?

### Build your company's own AI knowledge assistant

Use **ARGENT** to turn product manuals, SOPs, contracts or the documents on your NAS into knowledge an AI can search, then build an agent that answers questions from it.

**Documents / NAS → searchable knowledge → AI agent → answers**

### Turn documents into AI-ready data

Use **PreciseMD** to convert PDFs, Office files, scans, tables and complex layouts into structured text an AI can actually work with.

**Source documents → parsing → AI-ready Markdown → RAG / agent**

### Turn meetings and media into searchable text

Use **ScribeSTT** to turn recordings and video into transcripts you can then search, summarise or feed into your knowledge base.

**Audio / video → transcript → search / summary / AI**

## First time with ARX?

Work through it in this order:

1. **Initialize ARX** — set up the administrator, network, time and storage.
2. **Install your first AI model** — pick a model ARDGE recommends in AI Model Center and deploy it.
3. **Install your first AI app** — install what you need from App Market.
4. **Connect your company's data** — if it lives on a NAS, set up a remote storage connection in Storage Manager.
5. **Start using it, and watch it** — open apps from the Desktop; [System Monitor](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/monitor-and-troubleshoot/system-monitor) shows what the resources are doing.

## How this guide is arranged

The guide follows the order you actually work in:

- **Start Here** — [Initialization](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/start-here/init): required the first time you power on.
- **Use AI** — [AI Model Center](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/use-ai/ai-model-center) downloads, deploys and manages AI models; [App Market](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/use-ai/app-market) installs and manages AI applications; [Desktop](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/use-ai/desktop) is where you open and switch between them after signing in.
- **Connect Your Data** — [Storage Manager](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/connect-your-data/storage-manager) manages local capacity and NAS / remote storage.
- **AI Applications** — [ARGENT](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/ai-applications/argent) builds agents that answer from your own documents; [PreciseMD](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/ai-applications/precisemd) turns documents into AI-ready data; [ScribeSTT](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/ai-applications/scribestt) turns recordings and video into transcripts.
- **Manage ARX** — the [Control Panel](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/manage-arx/overview) settings for accounts, network, security, updates and backups.
- **Monitor & Troubleshoot** — [System Monitor](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/monitor-and-troubleshoot/system-monitor) for GPU, CPU, network and storage usage; [Log Center](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/monitor-and-troubleshoot/log-center) for sign-ins, operations and system events.
- **Advanced** — [ARDGE Account](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/advanced/ardge-account), [Internet Account](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/advanced/internet-account) and [MCP Server](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/advanced/mcp-server): integration and developer settings most people can skip.
- **Danger Zone** — [System Reset](https://docs.ardge.com/en/guide/danger-zone/system-reset) wipes the device and returns it to its factory state.
